Me and Dave Alistone created a number of plinths of the talking hands exhibition in circus street. this i feel was the most successful of the for that we made.

The act of making them out of waste materials was a lot of fun and had so much energy poured into it.

This led to us talking about putting together an exhibition of just Plinths.

This one in particular had so much personality.

Self Directed Study

This work situated in circus street, focuses on space and the demarcation of it thereof. Space here is governed by material quality. Slate, Wood and Carpet evoke a sense of space that is protected.

this project based on repetitive forming, came though the investigation into pattern and the shape of a cone.

a series of adaptable cone forms came forth through the process of laminating and the mighty machine bag press.

This piece consists of a number of hollowed out and quarterd silver birch trees, the components were then attached and connected in a way that linked areas in a rooms. searching for something, at some points it hides out of view.

The piece was displayed in the talking hands exhibition along side other makers in other mediums.

The first time i installed this piece it wrapped itself around a whole office and the second the length of my home from the skylight in my loft to the front door, linking the points of light.

This project consisted of drawing, printing and making a bird house in the most difficult material that i could find. Lard and seeds.
the master was carved out of lime and encorporated the pattern and line quality of my drawings that i did of houses.

On Saturday i met some guys in the Saturday market that invited me to become part of their creative collective, i said yes and now I'm producing cards for the weekend to sell. the guys are really cool. i met one of the guys called charlie today in the street. He had a steamer in his hand, and explained how the group was formed. I feel special because they asked me.
the insects here are from the collins book of insects and took about an hour to produce each one. im thinking that they will sell for 5 pounds each.
